42ct Pink Lace Agate, Custom Cut Cabochon

Pink crazy lace agate in a freeform shape, hand cut and polished by me.

Weight: 42ct

Size: 24.21mm x 22.75mm x 6.9mm

Cut: Freeform cut cabochon

Colour: Warm pink and cream tones, opaque

Mineral: SiO2 - Microcrystalline quartz, banded with chalcedony, jasper, iron and aliminium 

Origin: Rough was purchased at a local gem show in Lismore, NSW. Possibly Mexican in origin.

Treatment: None

Notes: A large, weighty stone, cut and polished by myself from a locally acquired piece of rough. This beautiful stone is well polished and has a lovely warm tone with soft pink banding and interesting patterning. The shape is almost an oval with the top 3rd cut away, but honestly, I shaped it by just following my intuition. There is some lovely druzzy on the back.
